Keto Green Smoothie (That Looks And Tastes Good!)

I’m excited to share with you my new keto green smoothie recipe.

If you’re trying to eat a low-carb diet like keto or Gaps, smoothies can be a hard thing to add into your nutrition.

In general, smoothies can be very high in sugar…

You’re adding fruits, yogurt, and maybe juice…and you end up with a ton of carbs packed in a small cup.

But there is a way to enjoy smoothies while still eating a low-carb or low-starch diet.

In addition, if you’re not a big fan of spinach in your smoothies, you’re going to love this one.

Here’s what you’ll need in this delicious low sugar, and low-carb, keto friendly smoothie…

Green Base We’re Using

Instead of spinach, I’m going to be using creamy avocado and 1/4 of a cucumber.

The cucumber is completely optional. If you want a thicker smoothie, just use the avocado.

I’m using 1/2 avocado in this keto smoothie.

Anti-Inflammatory Properties

I always use either ginger or turmeric in my smoothies because of the amazing anti-inflammatory properties they contain.

Your body benefits from these properties to help reduce inflammation and support your immune system as well.

I prefer ginger in smoothies because it adds a fresh taste. Turmeric is a bit more spicy.

Low Carb Fruits

I’m adding 2/3 cup of frozen raspberries. Raspberries are very low in sugar and have a low glycemic index.

This is about 7 grams of carbs.

If you don’t have frozen berries, just get fresh ones and add some ice.

I’m also adding 1/4 cup of blueberries. Make sure to get organic berries if you can.


I use collagen protein in all my green or non-green smoothies because it’s benefitial for joint health.

I prefer to use collagen protein because of the texture. It gets easily absorbed and has no after taste.

If you don’t consume milk products, you can definitely use a plant-based protein. Just watch for those hidden sugars.

Liquid Base

I’m using about 1 cup of unsweetened original almond milk. You can use regular milk or simply water.

  • 1/2 avocado
  • 1/4 cucumber (optional)
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger
  • 1/4 cup of blueberries
  • 2/3 cup of raspberries
  • 1 scoop of collagen protein
  • 1 cup of almond milk (unsweetened)


  1. Place all the ingredients in a blender.
  2. Blend well for about 10-20 seconds.
  3. Enjoy!
